The Undergraduate Research Program (URP) program at UW-Whitewater is a great example of “high-impact” learning where upper-level students use the knowledge they’ve gained to conduct their own research project. The program gives students approximately a year to conceive and carry out a research project which culminates in a poster presentation at our Undergraduate Research Day, the National Undergraduate Research Conference, or in a discipline-specific conference.
