We’ve just been awarded a contract with Jefferson County, Wisconsin, to map structures in new FEMA floodplain maps.

Two UWW students will be honing their heads-up digitizing skills this fall as they review aerial photography and floodplain boundaries. The mapping is required for Jefferson County to participate in the national FEMA flood insurance program — something we’ve heard a considerable amount about with the flooding from Hurricane Irma and Maria.
