Elkhorn GPS mapping
For the last four summers, UW-Whitewater GIS Center students have conducted field mapping for the City of Elkhorn using our “differential” global positioning system (GPS) units. These allow us to map features — signs, culverts, manholes — to the nearest meter. The project is part of the City’s ongoing effort to digitize their resources to improve the efficiency of their Public Works’ program.
