Testing the Waters
Collaborating with the Rock River Coalition, we held a 15-day public event using the water quality array to map water quality along most of the Rock River in Wisconsin. The project included a real-time map of the data as we paddled down the river along with public presentations in communities along the route.

WEDC Impact Map
Created interactive web map for Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) to highlight their economic development efforts across the state. Called the “Impact Map,” it lives on their website under Transparency.
The project was a collaboration with the State Cartographer’s Office and UW-Madison’s Cartography Lab.

Ever heard of an Arduino? It’s a small computer that allows you to make things…new things. We’ve combined an Arduino with water quality probes, a cell phone, and our GIS server to create a real-time water quality mapping system.
